At
every turn the eye finds delight in the fine detailing and
art of this exquisite Craftsman kitchen. Simply styled and
period oak-inspired cabinetry provides a canvas on which to
create a world of rich, colorful details—perfect for this
period which celebrates artisans. You’ll notice in the
photo, the mantle hood features two inlaid parquetry panels
surrounding a sculpted metallic panel with a stylized floral
pattern, repeated in the wall stenciling. Plain glass doors
and those overlaid with simple geometric patterns provide
display space for one’s colorful dishware, pottery, and
treasures.
Flat timbering on the ceiling repeats the rectangular
patterns of the room’s cabinetry, floors, tile, and glass
panes. Oiled bronze faucets and decorative hardware with
hammered finish complete the detailing.
